On Thursday 7 June, Christiane Maurer from The Hague University will give a research lecture. The topic of this lecture will be 'Networked innovation'.
Summary
Networked innovation is a specific form of open innovation, where two or more companies collaborate as partners and share risks and gains throughout an innovation project. Based on findings from a longitudinal and multidisciplinary research project that revealed the experiences of several participating companies, the presentation gives insights why companies currently tend to innovate in networks, which network structures they use and which challenges they encounter at different organizational levels.
Biography
Christiane Maurer is a senior researcher at the Centre for Research & Development of The Hague University. She graduated as industrial designer at Berlin University of the Arts and received her PhD in Industrial Design in 1994 from Delft University of Technology. Since then, she has been working for more than 15 years as a freelance designer in the textile industry and teaching industrial design at Saxion University Enschede as well as The Hague University. In recent years, her focus shifted to networked innovation research. In addition to her research activities, she is setting out new high-level research policies for The Hague University.
