Biography

Mariëlle Creusen is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Section Marketing and Consumer Research of the Department Product Innovation and Management She received her Master’s degree in Economic Psychology from Tilburg University in 1993. Before starting her Psychology study, she studied one and a half year of Industrial Design Engineering in Delft. She became a PhD student in the current department in 1993, and an Assistant Professor in 1998. She defended her PhD thesis titled 'Product Appearance and Consumer Choice' in November 1998. She has published in journals such as the International Journal of Research in Marketing, the Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Advances in Consumer Research. Her current research interests include the influence of product appearance factors on consumer product preference, and consumer research methods in product development.
