Biography

Maaike Kleinsmann is assistant professor in innovation management at Delft University of Technology. She has a master degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Her research focuses on collaborative design in industry. She finished her PhD thesis entitled ‘Understanding Collaborative Design’ (Kleinsmann, 2006) that is published in a book. Additionally, she published several articles on collaborative design and design communication. Besides her academic work, she also advises companies on innovation management and collaborative design.
