Motto
- Most of the advanced concepts are based on simple facts which can be seen in every day life and they need just a little attention to be discovered
- Given additional information to a problem, better solutions come within reach
- Risk assessment, which follows the reliability estimation, is to be implemented in the design process of (infra)structures
- Schematization of the reality, which leads to the separation into the engineering fields, is untrue but apparently unavoidable
- The human being has got a powerful mind and limitless imagination
- A PhD research project is a process of intellectual development and scientific discovery, and it should not be treated just as a production process

Dr. M. Rajabalinejad (Mohammad)
Assistant Professor
Design Engineering
Biography
Mohammad Rajabalinejad is an assistant professor at TUDelft. He is a multidisciplinary engineer holds advance degrees in seismic design, risk analysis, civil and geotechnical engineering, including a PhD in safety assessment of infrastructures from TUDelft. Since 1999, he has worked as a private consultant, in academia, and government, and owned a consulting firm. In the last 12 years, he has worked on a variety of engineering projects and research programs. His principal research interests include probabilistic methods in engineering design, reliability assessment of (infra)structures, decision support systems and stochastic finite elements. He is the past editor of the road and tunnel magazine (in Persian). He is a member of the talent academy of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) Faculty.
