Biography
I am an Assistant Professor at Industrial Design Engineering. 50% of my time I research the feasibility of Direct Methanol Fuel cells in portable electronics at the Personal Energy Systems research group. I am coordinator of the course ‘Product in movement’, teaching students how to design a drive-train in a consumer product actuated by means of mathematical modeling and dynamics (kinetics and kinematics)
Education
- 1990-1997
Master of Science at TU Delft Aeronautical Design Engineering, graduated on the Design of a Quiet Short Take-off and Landing aircraft, using upper surface blowing.
- 1997-1999
Master of Science at TU Delft, Industrial Design Engineering. Two year post-graduate design study. My graduation project was about designing a low-power close-in water heater using a heat pump.

1999-2002: Project leader at TNO Industrial Technologies (Delft, Eindhoven)
Specialisation / field of research
Alternative power sources for portable products and specialized in direct methanol fuel cells for portable elektronics.
