Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) was in 1969 the first university design programme  in the field of industrial design in the Netherlands, and is among the largest university design programmes in the world. Over 4.500 Industrial Design engineers have graduated from the faculty since it was founded.
